"Year 9 Activities Week runs every year over three days in Term 2. The activities revolve around the themes of challenge and building positive relationships. This is a fun and challenging time for the Year 9 students as they face physical, spiritual and emotional challenges"
The activities include:
SAVE A MATE WORKSHOP:
This workshop is delivered by the Australian Red Cross. Topics covered during the day include, what is mental health, dealing with stress and Adolescence a time of physical, behavioural and emotional change.
A focus on relationships, positive decision making and the influences in their lives.
WILDERNESS ESCAPE OUTDOOR ADVENTURES:
Students travel to the Woodhouse Adventure Camp site and are exposed to key adventure based activities. High Rope, Adventure Tower and either Billy Carts or Challenge Hill.
Activities Week is always a major highlight of Term 2 for the Year 9 cohort. We see students take brave risks and push themselves beyond their limits at the Woodhouse Activity Centre and share openly and honestly about the pressures in their lives at the Save a Mate workshop and Retreat.
