"In the Vanier Centre, a small group of students with intellectual disabilities benefit from a personalised Secondary curriculum within the inclusive setting of the College."
The program offers students opportunities to develop skills for:
- Independent living
- Transition from school to work
- Leisure in the wider community
The Vanier Centre specialises in supporting the education of students with a verified mild/moderate intellectual disability under the guidance of a Specialist Unit Coordinator.
Students are enrolled as per the College enrolment process and participate in all aspects of College life including homeroom, camps, excursions and a combination of modified mainstream and specialised Centre subjects as per their Individual Education Plan (IEP).
Work experience and post school transition are a significant focus of the senior years. Please refer to the Vanier Centre booklet for further information.
