In December 2006, Sam Clear, then aged 27, began an epic journey. He walked 15,500 kilometres over 568 daysfrom the eastern-most point of Brazil, through South America, Central America and North America, across Siberia on the trans-Siberian railway and on foot again from Moscow, to the western-most point of Spain. Why? For the sake of Christian unity and love. Sam now spends his time travelling the nation inspiring young people to think more deeply about their relationship with God and how to bring people together. Each year we invite Sam visit us at Thomas More College to work with our Year 10 students. He speaks to our students in a powerful way, sharing his insights into how to speak with and listen to God. Our young people listen intently to the amazing stories of kindness and humanity he has to tell and their reflections upon the experience tell us of the impact Sam's experiences has had on our students.
