If you are considering university study, especially interstate or at ADFA, you are strongly encouraged to choose SACE English General English or English Literary Studies. 

Some universities do not accept Essential English as meeting English entry requirements

Assessment Type 1: Responding to Texts (25%)

  • Novel Response Essay

Assessment Type 2: Creating Texts (50%)

  • Creative Response (Imaginative Writing) 
  • Writer’s Statement (Report)  

Assessment Type 3: Intertextual Study (25%)

  • Multimodal Presentation

 

General English 2

Assessment Type 1: Responding to Texts (50%):  

  • Analysis of Media Texts (Analytical Essay or Report) 
  • Film Response (Interview with the Director) 

Assessment Type 2: Creating Texts (25%):  

  • Social Media Campaign  

Assessment Type 3: Intertextual Study (25%):  

  • Connected Text Essay
