Learning Concepts

At Year 11 Vietnamese, there are three prescribed themes that students explore:

• The Individual
• The Vietnamese-speaking Communities
• The Changing World. 

These themes will be explored in conjunction with the following grammatical concepts: tone markers, intonation patterns, consonant distinctions, punctuation, verb tenses, adverbs, nouns, pronouns, adjectives, numerals, phrase types, sentence structures, cohesive devices, and style variations. 

Assessment Type 1: Interaction (20%)  

• Discussion 

• Oral Presentation  

 Assessment Type 2: Text Production (20%)  

• Letter Writing 

• Essay 

Assessment Type 3: Text Analysis (20%)  

• Article 

• Report 

Assessment Type 4: Investigation (40%)  

• Report in Vietnamese 

• Reflection in English
