Drama 1:
Task 1: Stand Up Comedy Set (25%) - Students develop a 5-minute stand up ‘set’ to perform in front of an audience
Task 2: Easter Site Specific Performance (25%) - Students develop a site-specific performance in the school chapel based on the 12 Stations of the Cross.
Task 3: Horror Short Film (25%) - Students explore suspense, atmosphere, and genre conventions to create an original short horror film.
Task 4: Children’s Puppet Theatre (25%) - Students create engaging performances for young audiences.
Drama 2:
Task 1: Improvisation (25%) - Students learn the basics of improvisation and engage in ‘Theatresports Olympics’ using unfamiliar prompts
Task 2: Kabuki (25%) - Students investigate and then devise a performance inspired by Japanese Kabuki Theatre
Task 3: Verbatim and Documentary Theatre (25%) - Exploring the work of Moises Kaufman, students create a verbatim play on the life at Thomas More College
Task 4: Immersive Theatre (25%) - Students explore interactive performance that engages the audience within the world of the play.
