Innovation Through Data-Informed Practice

A significant development at TMC during the past year has been the refinement of the College's Data Management Team (DMT).

The DMT is responsible for:

• Mapping and analysing whole-school data sets
• Ensuring data is meaningfully interpreted and utilised by leaders and teachers
• Guiding teaching, intervention and strategic decision-making across the College

The initiative has transformed the school's approach to teaching and learning, enabling real-time, responsive pedagogy. Rather than relying on retrospective analysis, teachers can adjust their practice based on live insights and student needs.

Data generated through the TMC Learner Profile allows staff to identify trends, monitor progress and measure the impact of a range of targeted interventions managed by various leadership teams, ensuring students receive the support they need at the right time.

A Record-Breaking Year

The 5-Star Best Schools recognition comes after what has been the most successful year in the College's history.

Highlights from 2025 include:

• A record enrolment of approximately 1,203 students
• The highest Year 12 results ever achieved at TMC
• An 8% increase in A grades compared with the previous record-setting year
• The College Dux, who also served as a College Captain, being recognised as one of only 40 recipients statewide of the Governor's Commendation Excellence Award
• A record number of SACE Merits, achieving 13 more than the previous year
• 285 students in Years 10 to 12 enrolled in a full VET Certificate or short-course vocational pathway, the highest participation rate in the College's history

These achievements reflect TMC's commitment to providing diverse pathways that enable students to pursue excellence through academic, vocational, leadership, service and co-curricular opportunities.

Investing in the Future

As the College continues to grow, so too does its learning environment.

To accommodate increasing enrolments, TMC recently opened six new classrooms, renovated four additional learning spaces, and recommenced a comprehensive Master Planning process that will guide future development.

With enrolments projected to reach approximately 1,500 students within five years, the College remains focused on ensuring students continue to learn in innovative, contemporary and engaging environments.
