Year 10

Year 10 provides students with the opportunity to further deepen and specialise their knowledge and skills across the Australian Curriculum while beginning to make informed decisions about future study and career pathways. Learning focuses on critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and the application of knowledge in real-world contexts. Through a range of subject choices, students can explore areas of interest and develop the foundations needed for successful transition into Stage 1 & 2 SACE studies, vocational education, apprenticeships, traineeships, and further training opportunities. Year 10 also marks the beginning of the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE).

Year 11 (Stage 1 SACE)

Stage 1 subjects build on the knowledge and skills developed through the Australian Curriculum, encouraging students to become independent learners, effective communicators, and critical thinkers. Alongside traditional academic subjects, students can access a range of vocational pathways through TAFE SA, School-Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships (SBATs), and industry-based programs. These pathways allow students to gain nationally recognised qualifications and valuable workplace skills while earning SACE credits, helping them prepare for further study, training, or employment.

Year 12 (Stage 2 SACE)

Year 12 is the final stage of secondary education and focuses on Stage 2 SACE studies. Students engage in deeper learning, higher-level analysis, and independent inquiry within their chosen subjects. In addition to academic pathways, students can continue vocational learning through TAFE and industry partnerships, gaining practical experience and qualifications that contribute towards their SACE. These opportunities support a smooth transition into university, apprenticeships, traineeships, employment, or further training, ensuring students are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed for life beyond school.
