Year 7 - 9

The Australian Curriculum for Years 7- 9 provides students with a broad and balanced education that builds strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, critical thinking and personal development. Through a range of learning areas, including English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities and Social Sciences, Health and Physical Education, Technologies, The Arts and Languages, students develop the knowledge, skills and capabilities needed to thrive in an ever-changing world. Across Years 7- 9, learning becomes deeper and independent, encouraging students to explore their interests, strengthen their problem-solving abilities, and prepare for success in senior schooling and beyond.

In Year 9 students have more agency over their learning, with some more information about the subject selection process found below. This will also be discussed on a parent, student, teacher basis during our JET, SET evenings in Term 3 of each year.

We believe education is at the heart of a life well lived. It is a philosophy we instil in our students and one which underpins our College maxim.
